If you are on holiday in Zakopane with children – you must visit Gubawka at least once. The numerous attractions of this place and the view of the Tatra Mountains will make both parents and children captivated by this place.

One of the places that are worth visiting when coming for holidays with children is Gubalowka mountain, and just a trip to the hill can be an incredible adventure.

ON FOOT, ON FUNICULAR OR CHAIR LIFT

There are several ways to reach Gubalowka. The simplest is to enter on your own. This can be done by one of two routes. The first trail marked in black leads through the street called “ul. Gładkie”. The second trail marked in blue leads through Walowa Góra. You can also shorten your way by walking along the funicular tracks, but here you will find a hut where landowners charge fees for crossing their private area.
Another way to reach the top is to take the funicular, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. Thanks to the glass roof of the funicular, you can enjoy beautiful views during the journey that will be remembered by travelers for a long time.
You can also reach the Gubalowka mountain by taking two available chairlifts – the Butorowy Wierch or Szymoszkowa. However, using this form of transport may be uncomfortable for parents with small children.

SANDY BEACH AND AMAZING VIEWS

At the top of Gubalowka, right next to the upper station of the PKL, you will find the highest elevated sandy beach in Poland. There are deckchairs, also double for couples, which can be used free of charge.
During the rest, parents can admire the view of Zakopane and the entire panorama of the Tatra Mountains, while the children will play in the sand.

POWER OF ATTRACTION AT THE PEAK

The walking trail leading between Gubalowka and Butorowy Wierch is rich in numerous attractions, from which it will be difficult for children and their parents to look away. In addition to souvenir and handicraft stalls, you can also find rope parks, inflatable playgrounds, local products as well as carriages and saddled horses.
The Gubałówka Peak is also a place from where 4 × 4 off-road quad bikes set off in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. – We have individual routes prepared so that tourists can see Gubalowka and the Podhale region in a completely different way. Our trips combine beautiful views and a dose of adrenaline – says Jan Pieprzak from Quadoo and Snowdoo.
