ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The cableway to Kasprowy Wierch was built in 1936 (the construction of the entire cableway infrastructure took only 227 days!). The trip to the top of Kasprowy Wierch takes about 20 minutes and takes place in two stages, with a change at Myślenickie Turnie (1.325m a.s.l.). When purchasing top-down tickets, the duration of stay at the KW peak is 1.40 hours. When planning a ride at a different time than the one specified on the ticket (sooner or later), you must give priority to all persons who have a return ticket for the given hour.
In the high season, long queues set up at the cash register in Kuźnice, it is worth buying presale tickets.

WHAT TO DO ONCE ON THE TOP OF KASPROWY WIERCH?

    • If it’s nice weather, we encourage you to walk to the very top of Kasprowy Wierch (1,987 m a.s.l.) to the Meteorological Observatory – the highest building in Poland. From there, there is a beautiful view of Czerwone Wierchy, Giewont, Gubalowka, and the Slovak Tatras. A walk under the observatory and back takes less about 20 minutes.
    • We also suggest an approach towards the Beskid peak, from which you can see the peak of Kasprowy Wierch, Dolina Cichą (Slovakia), and Stawki Gąsienicowe. A walk from the station to the Beskid (2,012 meters above sea level) and back takes about 60 minutes.

We advise against a walk to these places in flip-flops, sandals, or high-heeled shoes …
